Aaron McClelland was born on
August 2, 1954, to the union of Aaron
and Ruby McClelland, both of whom
preceded him in death. He was the first
born to this union.
His life’s journey started in Marks, Mississippi, where
he attended Marks Industrial Elementary School in his
early years. He later relocated with his family to Chicago,
where he would attend grammar school and further his
education at Hirsch High School. Aaron also accepted
Christ at an early age. While in Chicago his faith and
spiritual journey with God began to grow, as a member
of Antioch M.B. Church under his Pastor W.N. Daniel,
and beyond.
Aaron was well loved, very respectful, and a comedian
to the fullest. He was a hardworking man who found
love helping his mother, Ruby L. McClelland, siblings,
and so many others any way he could. He drove a cab
for the city of Chicago and served many clients during
this time. Aaron was affectionately viewed as a “Gentle
Giant” during his days. One who had a soft heart and a
soft spoken word to intrigue you as you would listen to
him. Oh, and who can forget his beyond the ordinary
pursuit of winning the Illinois State Lottery? ...Lol. He
was determined to break it!
Aaron transitioned from this side of life into eternity on
Wednesday, April 6, 2022, after being challenged in his
health. He was preceded in death in August of 2021 by
one of his siblings, Ruby Jean Belk.
He leaves to cherish the gift and memories God created
in him to be, in so many ways: his siblings, Billy Earl
McClelland and Wayne E. McClelland; sister-in-love,
Alice Mcclelland; along with a host of family and
friends. We love you, Bruh!
