Adam Steven Carter was born on October 8, 1987, in Melrose Park, Illinois, to Steven and Patricia Carter. Adam was the youngest of three children. Adam accepted Christ at an early age, and was baptized under the leadership of Pastor Willie J. Sams, as a member of New Evangelical Bible Church. Adam displayed an artistic ability at a young age, taking every opportunity he could to draw. Adam discovered a love for music in grammar school, joining the Lindop School band. Adam continued his love for music as a drummer in the Proviso East High School band. Adam graduated from Proviso East High School and then went on to Lincoln Tech, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He later attended DeVry where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. Adam was a fun-loving person that lit up any room with his sense of humor. He could always put a smile on people’s faces, even strangers, who he would talk to like he had known them forever. Adam was a caring and giving person that loved his family deeply. Adam Steven Carter was called home on April 28, 2022. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Martha Carter, grandfather, Russell Jones, uncles, James Jones and Joseph Sams, and brother, Michael Carter. He leaves to cherish his memories: his parents, Steven and Patricia Carter; his sister, Krystle (Wayne) Posey; nephew, Joshua Posey; niece, Kennedy Posey; grandparents, Albert and Inez Sams; grandmother, Lizeth Jones; uncles, Gary Carter, Ricky Carter, Jeffery Sams, Romel (Kaye) Sams, Jason Jones, Paul (Quiana) Jones, Patrick (Stacey) Jones; aunt, Sheron Young; goduncle, Allen Lee, Jr; special friend, Tatiana Smith; and a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, play cousins, and friends.
