Our dear mother, Alice Thompson, was born August 27, 1944, in Miami, Florida, to the late Bessie Wilkerson-Smith and reared by the late Willie and Josephine Taylor. Our dear mother accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Cooks Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Abbeville Georgia. Our dear mother was raised in Georgia and then moved to Illinois to pursue other avenues. Our dear mother was beautiful inside and out, and touched many lives. She had unconditional love for her children. Our dear mother loved to cook, sing, dance, and listen to good music. She will be missed. Our dear mother leaves to cherish her memories: spouse, Johnny L. Thompson, Sr.; five children, Vivian (Reggie), Johnny Jr., Torin Sr., Ron, and Drulanda (Mike); seven brothers and sisters, Philjay (the late Elise), Donna, (the late Leonard), Roosevelt, Avis, (the late Leadrets); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
