Andre B. Hughes was born on March 22, 1956, to the late Mr. Wilson Hughes and Francis Honorable of Pine bluff, Arkansas (both preceded him into eternal life). Later in life he changed his name to Andre B. Honorable, Sr.
Andre began his education in Pine Bluff until his family moved to Chicago, Illinois. Andre continued his educational career at Douglas Elementary and Wendell Phillips High School, Chicago, Illinois.
Andre was introduced to God at an early age. He was baptized at Progressive Baptist Church on the Southside of Chicago. In his adult life he joined and became a founding member (1997) of Way of Life Church International, Chicago, under the pastorate of Apostle Carolyn L. Vessel, where he was active until 2015.
Andre worked for KFC, Evanston Hospital, and several different moving companies, where he obtained the position of relocation specialist.
Andre loved spending time with his family and friends, playing dominos, and watching football.
Baking cakes and cookies got him the name “The Cake Man,” where he gained clients city-wide and started a business, “Cakes-R-Us.”
His daughter, Malina Dunn (Romero), preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish in his memories: his former wife of 39 years, Brenda Honorable; children, Darnell Sheegog (Allana) and Andre B. Honorable II (Yalanda) of Duck Hill, Mississippi; three siblings, Frankie Hughes-Morris, Darren Hughes, and April Hughes, all from California; and a host of grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, family members,
