Angela Bolivia Phillips was born November 17, 1963, to the union of Johnny Russell and Ruby Phillips in Chicago, IL. Angela, lovingly called “Angie,” received her education in the Public Schools graduating from Austin High School Chicago, IL. Angie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in 1978. She united with the Greater First Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. W.H. Foster, Sr., where she participated in Sunday School and Choir. She later moved her membership to the New Life House of Prayer church under the leadership of Elder Charles C. Ivy, where she began serving on the Usher Board. Angie’s places of employment were Saint Anne Hospital, Macy’s Department Store, and Jewel Food Stores. She enjoyed Bible study, writing, bowling, football, music, cooking her favorite foods, and eating. Angie departed this life on Friday June 2, 2022. She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Russell Phillips. She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Aaron Phillips and Kyle Linton Phillips; eight grandchildren, Damiya, Aaliyah, Alonna “Sugga,” Aaron Jr. “ACE,” Kyle Jr., Kaveon, Jayla, and Jayden Williams; Momma Alma of Nashville, TN; Mother Missionary, Ruby (Elder Murley) Reed; sisters, Kelly Phillips-Person (Maurice) and Karen Phillips-Bu in (Deveer); three brothers, Kevin Phillips, Eddie Perkins, and Timothy Perkins; ve aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
