BARBARA PITTMAN, a proud Chicago native, was born on April 21, 1951, to the late Mrs. Mable Smith and Jesse Smith. She was raised alongside her beloved siblings, Jesse Smith Jr., Gloria, Delois, Darlene, and Esther Smith. Barbara attended Marshall High School. She later met the love of her life, Obie Pittman, Sr., with whom she shared 57 beautiful years of marriage filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories. CPS before retiring in 2013. She dedicated 25 years of service as a bus aide and more for Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who treasured her family deeply. She granted her legacy onto the following: her four children, six grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren, along with her honorary addition, Tiger, who brought her much joy and companionship. Barbara’s kindness, strength, and loving spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
