Betty R. Nelson

BETTY R. NELSON was born March 25, 1940, to the late Marvin Vines and Otelia Vines in Opelika, Alabama. Betty graduated from J.W. Darden High School with honors in 1958. After graduation, she moved to Chicago to start her new journey. Betty love to cook, clean, and spend time with family. Betty leaves behind her life partner, Johnny L. Thompson, Sr., and blended children, Vivian (Reggie), Johnny Jr., Torin, Ron, Drulanda (Mike); siblings, Roosevelt Vines (deceased), Marvin Vines, Jr. (deceased), Ernest Vines (deceased), Albert Vines (deceased), Mary Jean Vines(deceased), Carolyn (Richard) McDonald, Bernice Crawford, Shirley Coley, and Ralph (Jean) Vines. Betty also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
