Bryant Giles Obituary

Bryant Giles was born on May 19, 1967, in Chicago, Illinois to the parentage of Espinola Giles and Ronald Reed. He was the first-born son of both parents. He was raised on the south side of Chicago in the home of his mother and sometimes his godmother, Mrs. Eva Jackson, who preceded him in death.
“A TIME TO LIVE”
Bryant started his education within Chicago Public Schools, including Raster Elementary School. Later, he attended William Rainey Harper High School, where he met Deloise Miggins for the first time. Then graduated from Timken Senior High School in Canton, Ohio.
Bryant got reacquainted with his soon-to-be wife on October 20, 1990 (Sweetest Day), while working at the Chicago Board of Trade. Later, they became one on May 1, 1993, officiated by Pastor MC Greenwood. He became a husband, father of five beautiful children, and the happiest Paw Paw of six wonderful grandbabies in the world.
Bryant was an active supporter under the leadership of his father-in-law, Administrative Assistant Supt. Allan P. Miggins, Sr., at Bibleway Church of God in Christ.
Bryant was a provider, protector, and supportive man who loved his family. Although Bryant was not outspoken, he had a generous and kind spirit. He was always found helping someone who needs it. Bryant was employed by numerous companies, Uniform To You Inc., American Linen, Peking Uniform Rental Company, Cosmopolitan Textile Company, Morgan Services, Classic Transport, K-Rae Transport, and UBER.
Bryant was always proud of his wife’s accomplishments. When she graduated Master of Education with Honors, he said to the family, “this is my degree too. I helped her complete what she wanted to do.”
Bryant was a confident counselor to his nieces, nephews, and closest friends. He was always available to share his cooking abilities with family and friends, by smoking a ham for Easter & Thanksgiving and his famous chili and barbecue ribs. Bryant was the “Ultimate Bears Fan” who would always wear the gear and attend/watch the games with family and friends faithfully.
Bryant did not accept Christ at an early age. He accepted Christ initially on April 11, 2021, with the assistance of his wife. Later, after being asked, “do you remember?” he reaffirmed his decision on June 7th and said, “I am glad that I am saved and a child of the King.”
