Chicago, Illinois, to the union of Wallace “Sonny” Williams and Pearlie Mae Williams. She was the youngest of six children, growing up surrounded by love, laughter, and strong family bonds. Carolyn received her education in the Chicago Public School system and graduated from Von Steuben Metropolitan Science Center in Chicago, Illinois. She continued her studies at Truman College, where she pursued cosmetology. Later in life, Carolyn developed a passion for healthcare and began pursuing studies toward becoming a nurse, reflecting her caring and compassionate nature. At an early age, Carolyn accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She faithfully attended Inspirational Deliverance Center Church of God in Christ in her younger years under the leadership of the late founder Elder Charles Hughes and Pastor Shirley Hughes. Her faith remained a meaningful part of her life and foundation throughout the years. Carolyn found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved being a mother above all, and she cherished time spent with her children, family, and friends. She enjoyed trying new restaurants, listening to music, sharing laughter, and telling jokes. Known for her vibrant spirit, Carolyn was often the heart of family gatherings, frequently hosting celebrations and bringing loved ones together for memorable moments f illed with joy. On Thursday, March 19, 2026, Carolyn peacefully departed this life. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Wallace and Pearlie Williams; grandparents; and two brothers, Anthony “Tony” Jackson and Wallace “Gene” Jackson. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her three loving children, Kaitlyn Williams-Jackson, Jarrell Williams-Little, and Jaylin Williams-Johnican. She is also survived by her devoted siblings: two brothers, Darryl (Tundra) Jackson and Derrick (Charlene) Jackson; and one sister, Shelia (John) Holt-Curry. Carolyn also leaves behind four special sisters: Chrishanda Banks, Latakka Franks, Nicole Taylor, and Meola “Pebbles” Bell; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will continue to honor her legacy of love and laughter. Carolyn’s warmth, strength, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
