Charles Lee Allen (Lehoney) was born October 15, 1944, in Westpoint, Mississippi, to the late Willie Allen and Isie Fair, both of whom preceded him in death. Charles later moved to Chicago, IL, where he accepted Christ at an early age at Lutheran Community Church. Charles attended McKinnely Elementary School and went on to attend Crane High School. It was there that he met his loving wife and lifelong partner, Gaynell. Charles was preceded in death by four sisters, Flora, Margaret, Mattie, and Doris; two brothers, Joe and Robert; and one grandchild, Lejon “JON JON” Allen. Charles leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Gaynell; four children, Tonya, Darnell (Lavelle), Deleslie, and Tonyea; ten grandchildren, April (Alex), Shermia, Markita, Charles, Travis, Junkye, Persephonie, Darnell, Jarell, and Devin; fourteen greatgrandchildren and one great great-grandchild; one sister, Mary Ann Spraggins Doll of Chicago, IL; three sisters-in-law, Linda of Westpoint, GA, Charlene of East Moline, IL, and Mattie of Valley, AL; one brother-in-law, Walter of Merrillville, IN; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
