Charles Davies was born on August 18, 1940, to the late Mrs. Willye Mae Rucker in Louisiana. Charles Davies confessed his life to Christ at an early age. He loved to watch The Lively Stone M.B. Church and Freedom Hillside Church every Sunday on Facebook or YouTube. Charles was employed at Uarco Corporation until he became disabled. He was a very hard worker, and in his spare time in his younger years, he was a DJ and very handy around the house. He enjoyed playing games on his tablet and would spend hours on it. Charles loved watching sports on tv and wouldn’t miss watching any Bulls or Bears games if possible. Even though he was confined to a wheelchair, he was very independent and would only ask for help when he tried everything else. He also loved family gatherings and would participate as much as he could, he just loved being around family. Charles loved all his nieces and nephews, and they were all attached to him. Charles had many titles he was known as Charles, “Charlie,” “Uncle Charles,” and “Paw-Paw” (by the grand kids). Charles was preceded in death by his brothers, Loyde Turner and Roger Mosley of Illinois; son, Jordy Dennard Lak; granddaughters, Tamisha Davidson of Chicago, IL and Ka’mori Like of Mississippi; grandsons, Antonio Bryan Nash of Mississippi, and Temaj Windham of Chicago, IL. He leaves to cherish: his lifelong partner, Mary Martin of Chicago, IL of whom they have spent many years together; daughters, Cara Glenn of Georgia (Brandon), Daphne Miller of Mississippi, Lisa Lake of Vicksburg, MS, Margaret Javett (MeMe) Lake of New Orleans, LA, Tamika (James) Windham of Chicago, IL, and Charlisa Bryant of Chicago, IL; sons, Steven M.
