Christopher Evans Obituary

On November 28, 2022, Christopher Evans, loving husband and devoted father, passed away at the age of 47. Christopher was born on December 3, 1974, in Chicago, Illinois, to Betty Ann Evans. He attended Richard T. Crane High School, Olive Harvey College, and then Northwestern University where gained his Commercial Truck Driving License in 2007. Christopher went on to become an ordained minister in 2018. In the years following, Chris joined the International Detailing Association (IDA), gaining many other certifications and accolades including Certified Detailer, Skills Validated Detailer, Recognized Trainer, and served on multiple boards within the organization. Christopher worked as a Detailer and Trainer in many notable organizations/companies across the country. He was the founder and CEO of On The Spot Mobile Detailing, Members Only Detailing, and the National Detail Consulting Company. Chris authored the Detailers Dictionary edition I & II and was busy planning two additional books. Chris was such a light in this sometimes dark world, and he will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him. He touched the lives of so many people across this nation and beyond. During his time with us, he made a point to always help anyone with whatever he could, never second guessing his decision. Anyone that knows Chris, knows that family meant everything to him, whether by blood, marriage, or buffer, each one of you were a member of his family. His love of life was evident in the way he lived. Full speed ahead or not, there were no gray areas. He was a teacher in life and at work, voice of reason, loyal friend, and all-around good guy. He was one of a kind. Chris will never be forgotten but forever remembered and missed by all who were blessed enough to know him. Chris was preceded in death by his loving mother, Betty Ann Evans, grandmother, Josephine Shumaker, and grandfather, James Eddy Evans. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Evans; daughter, Christina Evans; granddaughter, Arial Evans; brother, Termel Evans; cousins who were more like brothers and sister, Marcus, Varnell, and Margaret Evans, Billy Wayne Evans, and Shiquita Baymon; and his expansive extended detail family, led by his adopted father, Robert Wrasman, and all his bonus brothers and sisters of detail, best friends, Antone Falco (Dynamic), Enis and Tanasha White, and Lorenzo Louden; and a host of cousins, other friends, and relatives in Mississippi.
