Corliss Cassandra Woods was born in Indianola, Mississippi, on October 2,
1966, as the sixth child to the late Earnest and Cindy Ann Woods. She was also preceded in
death by her sister, Demetria Woods.
She attended George W. Collins High School where she cheered on the home team from the
top of the cheerleading pyramid.
Corliss always had a loving heart and a strong work ethic. She found joy in reaching out to
help others, and she did so with a huge smile. Corliss had the most welcoming and loving
smile that made everyone in her presence feel loved and welcomed.
She lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Corliss
always had a beautiful smile and an authentic spirit. She was a supportive shoulder to her
family and friends and a trusted confidante to many. Her compassion and grace touched the
hearts of many, and she will be truly missed.
Corliss leaves to cherish her precious memories: her devoted children, Shakenna Bosley
(Frank), Octavia Woods, and Darious Woods; five grandchildren, Chloe Bosley, Franklin
Bosley, Jr., Levi Woods, Dezire Woods, and Mason Woods; siblings, Rose Mary Dent, Paula
Dent, Sheila Woods, Samuel Woods, Jaqueline Woods, Deidra Woods, and Emanuel Woods;
a special brother from another mother, Arnold (Blue) Elliot; and a host nieces, nephews,
cousins, and friends
