Darrell “Duecy” Hoston, Sr. was born on June 28, 1972, at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, to Beatrice Hoston and Preston O’Neal. He was the youngest of eight siblings. Duecy met Nadine Moore in high school, and fell head over heels in love. On May 19, 2000, they were united in holy matrimony. To this union, three sons were born. Duecy was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Hoston; fathers, Abraham Jordan and Preston O’Neal; and brother, Larry Hoston. Duecy’s free spirit, kind heart, and laughter brought joy to all who knew him. He was always full of joy. Joking around with his sons was his favorite past-time. He was so much of a jokester that he worked our nerves. Those are memories that we will cherish forever. In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing dominos, and spending time with his family. Duecy worked at several nursing homes and restaurants as a chef until he became ill. Duecy leaves behind to cherish his memories: his wife, Nadine; sons, Darrell Jr., Deshawn, and Jordan; brothers, Frederick, Shederick, Terrell, and Preston Jr.; sisters, Elaine and Particia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
