Debra Ellen Jenkins, aged 63, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024. She was a beloved mother, daughter, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Debra was born on December 15, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, where she spent her formative years. She went on to obtain her Business Associate’s Degree at Robert Morris College and later became a Business Owner & Travel Consultant at Desired Destinations Surge 365. Throughout her career, she was known for her love, joy, and compassion for helping others. But more than anything, Debra was a devoted daughter, mother, and Mimi. She loved spending time with her children, dancing, traveling, and keeping them focused on their goals, also known as all up in our business. She took that business very seriously. She was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced. Every day you could find her loving and caring for her mother Mary Ellen Freeman -Jenkins who just turned 85 on May 18, 2024. She took pride in being a Domestic Engineer, also known as, a homemaker. She had a gift to make any place feel like home because home is where the heart is. In her free time, Debra enjoyed any opportunity to dress up and go to various events. She was always eager to share any grocery store deals, her knowledge of supportive resources around the Chicago land area, and her enthusiasm of the love of God with others. She remained active by attending Mt. Carmel Martial Arts Academy with her children every week. She was also an active member of her church, Covenant United Church of Christ with the Jade Dance Ministry where she danced and served as the Chaplin. She would volunteer to pick up food for friends, family, the elderly, and those that were sick and shut in. Debra is survived by her loving mother, Mary Ellen Freeman - Jenkins, her six children, eldest son, Vanzell Fellie Jenkins Jr., Wife, Tiffany Jenkins, eldest daughter, Ayla Ellen Jenkins, middle son Xxavier Lavell Jenkins, middle daughter, Nana Omni Jenkins, youngest daughter Majestyc Love Smith, and youngest son, Thorton Pasqualee Smith. As well as her grandchildren, Nyla Ellen Wright (8 years old) and Zaine Jermaine Smith (3 years old). Her legacy will live on through all who knew her
