Delores Denise Burnett, affectionately known as “DeeDee”, was born to the union of Shirley Ann Burnett and Tyrone Burnett in Chicago, IL, on January 17, 1959. Both parents preceded her in death. Delores was raised in the Christian faith and rededicated her life to Christ when she joined One Lord One Faith Missionary Baptist Church. She was baptized there under the leadership of Pastor Robert B. Kelley. DeeDee always greeted everyone with her big, beautiful smile, whether she knew you or not. She was nurturing, caring, loving, and very kind-hearted. She was always there to lend a helping hand. DeeDee was a phenomenal woman who leaves behind an incredible legacy. at’s just who DeeDee was. DeeDee attended Marconi Elementary School in Chicago, IL, and received her formal education at Rezin Orr High School in Chicago, IL. Afterward, she received her certi cate in nursing and worked in that eld for many years before moving on to a career with Greyhound bus company. She also worked as a safe passage guardian for Al Raby High School. DeeDee enjoyed spending time with her family. Her outgoing personality always made her the life of the party. She loved spoiling and playing with her grandkids, great-grandkids, great-niece, and great-nephews, and always uplifting her older nieces and nephews, always making them proud of themselves. Delores gained her wings on September 9, 2021. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: three children – Termika Denise (Roberto), Michael Kaprisse, and Sheree Faith; 10 grandchildren – Tracy, Kamishia, Michael Jr., Tekenya, Tierra, Terra, Terran Jr., Breana, Adrianna, and Andre; six great-grandchildren – Kamryn, Kaleb, Ayden, Nyla, Jelani, and Ariel; ve siblings – Jerome, a.k.a., Jay (Nina), Ernest (Ernestine), Rochelle, a.k.a., Fee (Danny), Sheila, and Carol, a.k.a., Peb (two siblings, Gerald, a.k.a., Jerry, and Tommy, a.k.a., Bull, preceded her in death); one uncle – Tommy; one aunt – Carol; a bonus father – Elvis Howard; a bonus sister and best friend – Charlotte Cage; a special life-long friend – Edward Robinson; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other family, friends, and other loved ones.
