Diane Chester Obituary

Diane Kimbrough Chester was born on June 14, 1957, in Durant, Mississippi, to Doretha and Ralph Kimbrough, Sr., (deceased). Diane attended Ryerson Elementary School, where she graduated and went to Rezin Orr High School. She worked multiple jobs at Goldblatt, Turnstile, and Venture retail stores. Diane loved spending time with her family and friends. She was the life of the party and enjoyed just that. Her bond with her children was loving, loyal, and trustworthy. She shared that bond with family and friends as well. She created the phrase, “Pat and turn it,” which means walk a block and turn a corner before you come for her, with the snap of her nger pointing right at you. Diane departed her life on January 1, 2023. She was reunited in death with her father, Ralph Kimbrough, Sr.; three brothers, William Kimbrough, Leenor Kimbrough, and Herny Kimbrough; and grandmother, Susie Kimbrough; and a bonus daughter, Shoronda Edwards. Diane leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Rosedell Chester, Jr.; four daughters, Kathelina Kimbrough Molette (Shirron Molette), Davenette Kimbrough (Terry Mo ett), Rokisha Chester Kimbrough, and Charlette Chester; one son, Rosedell Chester, Jr., III; bonus daughters, Tyesha Townsel and Jillondia Edwards Linton; grandchildren, Christina Kimbrough, Tyesha Collins (Rayshawn), Tyniesha Stone Riley (Dwayne), Terry Mo ett, Cordell Chester, Mikayla King, Tyshawn Mo ett, Ry-Shawn Ivy, and Brandon Holder, Jr.; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elgenia Kimbrough of Memphis, Tennessee, and Sarah Bailey of Lexington, Mississippi; two brothers, Ralph Kimbrough, Jr., and Charles Kimbrough of Memphis, Tennessee; one uncle, James Lee Kimbrough of Lexington, Mississippi; aunt, Mary McCarter of Chicago, Illinois; special friend, Markee Williams of Chicago, Illinois; best friend, Tlafaye Morrrow of Memphis, Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
