Dianne Richmond

Dianne Richmond was born on January 26,
1959, to Bobbie Jean Richmond and Willie Lee Glover in
Jonestown, Mississippi. Dianne was a caring and selfless
woman whose kindness and beautiful soul touched everyone
fortunate enough to know her.
Dianne moved to Chicago at an early age. She received her
education in Chicago public schools and graduated from Lucy
Flowers High School. Dianne worked for Newark Electronics
for more than 25 years and later retired from Chicago public
schools. Dianne devoted her life to uplifting students and
adults with disabilities, embodying compassion, patience,
and unwavering kindness in all she did.
Dianne was preceded in death by her father, Willie Lee
Glover; sister, Geraldine Johnson; and nephew, Keith “Trell”
Richmond. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving
mother, Bobbie Jean Richmond; aunts, Vera Lee Walker
and Dorothy Jean Richmond; and uncle, Larry Richmond
(Angela Richmond). She is also survived by her siblings, Gail
Richmond, Reanella Richmond Carr (Anthony Carr), Twana
Richmond, and Cordell Richmond; nieces, Talia Johnson,
Brittany Richmond Davis (Dr. Cataria Davis), Catherine
Jones, and Shaquana Richmond; nephews, Kenneth Richmond
(Camila Richmond), Robert Gomez, Marcuz Gomez, Cordell
Richmond, Jr., and Malik Haynes; along with a host of greatnieces,
great-nephews, cousins, and loved ones who will
forever treasure her memory.
A woman of deep faith, Dianne accepted Christ at an early
age and remained a faithful member at Lawndale Christian
Community Church until her passing. Her spirituality guided
her through life.
Outside of her work and faith, Dianne had a passion for
traveling and cooking, often sharing her love for both with
family and friends. Her vibrant spirit, generosity, and love for
others were evident in everything she did, and her memory
will live on in the countless lives she touched.
Dianne will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her
memory will forever be cherished.
