Dolores S. Eabron was born on September 4, 1947, to the late Lester Eabron and Queen Esther Thompson in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Crane Technical High School in Chicago and later earned her degree from Harry S. Truman College, becoming a licensed cosmetologist in 1993. Dolores enjoyed a fulfilling career as a hairstylist before transitioning to FedEx Kinkos, where she worked until her retirement in 2015. Dolores accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. In her youth, she attended First Grace Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois. On June 9, 1967, she married the love of her life, Charles Baker, Sr., and together they built a beautiful life, raising four children. Later, Dolores became a member of St. Paul West Outreach Ministries under the leadership of Prophetess Terri Lynn Webster. In 2009, she and her husband joined DuPage AME Church under the leadership of Reverend Dr. James F. Miller and Reverend Lana Parks Miller. At the time of her passing, Dolores remained a devoted and active member of DuPage AME Church under Reverend Conitras M. Houston. On January 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and friends, Dolores was called home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Baker, Sr.; and siblings, Lester Eabron, Edna Eabron, Donald Thompson, and Dennis Thompson. Dolores leaves to honor and cherish her memory her four children, LaShawn Moore (Michael), Charles Baker, Jr. (Kelly), Tiffany Baker, and Crystal Baker. She is also survived by her siblings, Larry Thompson (Cheryl), Kenneth Thompson(Clara), Michael Eabron-Thompson (Debbie), and Terry Thompson. Dolores was a proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren, Amber Moore, Tiara Howard, Dalisha Moore, Michael Moore Jr., Ashanti James, Demari Rodgers, Sydney Baker, Janiya Moore, Talei Thompson Jr., Chelsea Baker, and Christa Johns. Her love also extended to her four great-grandchildren, Ka’Miyah Howard, Kimora Howard, Amira Stephens, and Ezra Stephens. In addition, Dolores leaves behind two cherished friends, Brenda Hancock and Sharon Baugh, along with a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. Dolores will forever be remembered for her kindness, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family and community. Her legacy of compassion and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
