Donovan Javier McCarter

Donovan Javier McCarter was born on June 5, 2003, to Tennena Stainback and Edmond McCarter in Chicago, Illinois. Donovan, you were my quiet baby!! I know you never liked any green foods, but green was your favorite color. I am grateful to God that you were able to see the age of 18 years young! But!! Still gone too young, too soon. My baby loved watching wrestling and playing video games. Donovan, you were not only an Awesome son, you were a great student. I was often told that you were my twin, and now a part of me is gone. But when I look in the mirror, I will always see you. Donovan attended Irving Middle School and graduated in 2007, and attended Proviso East High School, and would have graduated in December 2021. Donovan departed this life on July 3, 2021, unexpectedly; his death left all of us confused as to why, but one thing we know for sure is Donovan will live on in our hearts forever. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Flossie, and Calvin Wilson, Sr., and John, Sr., and Irma Stainback, and his grandfather, John, Jr., Stainback. Donovan leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted mother, Tennena Stainback; his father, Edmond McCarter; three brothers, Rayshawn Wilson, Travon Logan, and Jamaal Luckett, Jr.; one sister, Jamila Luckett; grandparents, Barbara Wilson and Veronica McCarter; one niece, Faith Wilson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and friends.
