EDDIE (DUNE) BYERS was born on March 8, 1972, to the parents of Malinda Hamer and Ed Byers, who preceded him in death. Eddie, who was the third of six children, was raised on the west side of Chicago, Illinois, where he attended and graduated high school before starting work. Eddie liked to draw and collect action figures. Eddie had many jobs over the years including his own online business. But two that excited him the most were the United Center and Coca Cola, where he worked for many years until his health failed him. Eddie was a very lovable person, but for those who knew him, he was not a people person. So, if he socialized with you, consider yourself lucky. He was not the social type; no parties, weddings, bbq’s, no going out on the town. Eddie leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 17 years, Peggy; three daughters, Natasha (Tots), Raniqua (Mook), and Akeda (Kee); two grandsons, in which he would give the world to who were overjoyed with love for him, Kevin (Kay) and Akari (Stewie); his mother, Malinda Byers; grandmother, Eleylean Hamyer; four sisters, Linda Traylor of Mississippi, Sheila Jones, Ratanya, and Tammy Byers; one brother, Darron Byers; mother-in-law, Juanita (Cornelius Wesley) who preceded him in death; two sisters-in-law, Sherry and Latonya Wesley; one brother-inlaw, Cornelius Wesley; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who all adored him.
