Erick Reed

Erick Reed was born on April 7, 1974, to Patricia Ann Reed 
and Theodore Hughes.
Erick was a free spirit who was very handsome, charming, and 
outgoing. He was very much into fashion and was stylishly well 
groomed.
Eric attended Joseph Medill Elemenary School and obtained his 
GED in the year 2005, and later obtained his carpenter certificate 
in the year 2007.
Erick also loved to sing and dance; he was that person to always 
keep a smile on your face with humor and a positive attitude. He 
will be missed dearly.
He leaves to mourn: his loving mother, Patricia Reed; stepfather, 
Albert Sims; two brothers, Terrance Reed and Fabian Blackwell; 
two sisters, Vernice and Tamiko; nine children, Eric Atkins, Javon 
Reed, Derrick Reed, Tysheka Strong, D’Angelo Reed, Kyia Hodges, 
Erica Ross, and Willard Elam; loving aunt, Sabrina Thornton; 
four uncles, John Turner, Melvin Reed, Willie Reed, and Steven 
Reed; fifteen grandchildren; loving companion, April Easley; 
loving grandmother, Castella Walker; and a host of cousins, other 
relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by loving grandparents, Willie C. Reed, 
Mable Reed, and Clyde Sprints, and loving aunt, Doris Turner.
Erick Reed received his wings August 30, 2022, at 2:30 a.m.
He will be truly missed.
