ERIK CARVER was born in Chicago, IL, on October 30, 1964, from the union of Edward L. and Edith (Jackson) Carver. Erik attended Helen M. He eran Elementary School and Charles Allen Prosser Vocational High School. He graduated from Prosser in 1982. troughout his life, Erik held several jobs, many of them with long tenures. Most recently, he was employed with Kohl’s Dept Stores for 25 years, where at the time of his death he was a cashier/supervisor. e MUSIC MAN - Erik grew to have a real love of music, a trait he received from his dad. As a young boy, music was a big part of his life. Among family and friends, he was known as a connoisseur of music, most genres. at gi was the catalyst for his services as a Disc Jockey or DJ. He DJ’d for numerous events including corporate outings, niece and cousins’ weddings, family reunions, annual picnics, and so many more. Whenever called upon for his musical services, Erik was there! Always on time, always reliable!!! Erik passed on Sunday, May 1, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Edward L. and Edith E. Carver, and his beloved sister, Judith (Jackson) Jones. He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved sister, Bionca (Je ery) Lindsey; brother, Eddie Woodson; brother-in-law, Alvin Jones; uncle, Darryl (Anita) Carver; aunts, Juanita (Fred) Hill, Olintha (Keith) Smith, Margaret Anderson, Hildegarde Jackson, and Kay France Logue; nieces, Danyell (Steve Arbitman), Erin Woodson, and Dionica Dean; nephews, Dr. Quentin (Dr. Gretchen) Lindsey, Anthony “TJ” Dean, Jr., and Damien Jones; great-nieces, Zoriah Jones, Demarria Dean, Brooklyn Lindsey, Layla Dean, and Peyton Lindsey; and a large host of beloved cousins and dear friends.
