Loris M. LittleJohn was born to James and Cathriene Barnes on October 10, 1949, in Minter City, Mississippi. Loris attended T.Y. Fleming Elementary and High School, both of Minter City, Mississippi.
Loris M. Littlejohn attended Kennedy King College where she obtained her G.E.D. and proceeded to complete her nursing degree as a registered nurse. She was employed by St. Bernard Hospital for many years until she left to work at Cook County Hospital where she served in many departments—trauma, peds, and ER. She landed in the burn unit as the charge nurse until she retired as the boss of the unit.
Loris was saved, sanctified, filled, and licensed under the leadership of the late Bishop Samuel McCarthy.
Loris served in the house of the Lord, at Christian Love Deliverance Center, as the Church Mother and in the missionary department. She also met the love of her life, Deacon Mack Littlejohn, when he asked for those “seven digits.”
On Friday, June 10, 2022, Loris M. Littlejohn took her rest. She leaves to cherish: her loving husband, Mack Henry Littlejohn; four loving children, Tracey (Tyrone), Wanda, and Angela, all of Chicago, Illinois, and Darcy, of Memphis, Tennessee; siblings, Jimmy Barnes, Ellis Hoskins (Alfonso), and Bruce Barnes; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three godchildren; and a grand host of favorite nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Cathriene Barnes; and four siblings, Shelly, Mattie, Bobby, and Eugene.
