GW Kirkwood was born to George and Sarah Kirkwood on March 25, 1947, in Valdez, Mississippi. GW Kirkwood accepted Christ at an early age he was baptized at King David Baptist Church. On May 4, 2022, at 7:25, GW Kirkwood made his transition home where he was reunited with his parents, Sarah and George Kirkwood; three sisters, Jessie Cowan, Sarah Brownlee, and Sarah Carr; wife, Deborah Kirkwood; and grandson, Mario Kirkwood. GW was a jack of all trades. In his heydays, he loved playing baseball, xing and racing old cars, hunting with his family in Mississippi, watching sports, and going shing with his grandchildren. One thing was for sure: when he walked in the room and a card game was going on, everyone knew it was about to go down. Make him his favorite cocktail and let the shenanigans begin because he was a jokester. GW had a big heart and loved people; he had a way of making everyone feel like they were his favorite. GW leaves to cherish his memories: twelve children, Armantha, George, Stephanie (Jerry), Keith (Tracey), Willie, Yolanda, Chanta, Maronda, Niambi, Quiwanda, Sharetha (Jeremiah), and Marieko (Charles); sister, Martha (Robert, deceased) Walker; two brothers, James Vance of Mississippi and Clarence (Yolanda, deceased) Lawrence; thirty-nine grandchildren; thirty-seven greatgrandchildren; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, godchildren, and stepchildren.
