Obituary

Gerald Larue, affectionately known as “Mr. G.,” was born on May 11, 1961, to Adean Larue and M. G. Carpenter. He attended Wendell Phillips High School on the Southside of Chicago. Gerald was such a loving and kind soul who was always down for a good time. Sharing laughs while playing cards and listening to music while being the life of the party would be his favorite pastime. Gerald dedicated over 40 years of his life as a hardworking Security Officer until he became ill. On June 16, 2023, the Lord welcomed Gerald back home. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Gerald Wilson, and DaShawn Davis; and two sisters, Betty and Sandra Larue. He leaves to cherish: his daughter, Dominique Williams (Dovell Sr.); son, Jamon Davis; brothers, Gary Larue (Karen) and Larry Larue; sisters, Diane and Julia Larue; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
