Glenn Walsh Obituary

God waved his magic hands and blessed the late Leeotha and Bessie Walsh with their baby boy Glenn. He was blessed in a God-fearing loving home with his three siblings, Ezell and Lee (Butchie) Jr., and Vitea (Bonnie). He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Ezell and Lee (Butchie) Jr., along with his parents. Glenn was educated in Spencer Elementary one year and then was transferred to St. Mel Elementary and Prosser High School system, all of Chicago, Illinois. Glenn confessed Christ at an early age, and baptized at St. Rome Missionary Baptist Church with his mother and siblings under the leadership of Pastor James O. Conner. Later in years he joined Christ Temple Bible Church under the leadership of Pastor Lewis Thomas, July 3, 2022. He moved his membership to First Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor John L. Belser until his health failed. He was faithful in his ministries and knew Jesus was the lifter of his head. Glenn Walsh was an employee at Lakeview, Inc. Glenn was comical, amusing, all in love, he kept you laughing in doing that, and he also kept it real. You couldn’t get angry because he was that kind of guy. Nobody was sad around Glenn. He had a passion for playing drums. It started when he was very young and the rest is history. Glenn leaves to cherish his memories: daughters, Kendra (Dudhu), Elonya (Babygirl), and Angelina (Weathersby); son, Khimaree; grandchildren, Zemora (Tink), Emir, Antwon, Andrea, Absalom, and Aniyla, all of Chicago, Illinois, Glenn, and Vitea; godmother, Mirah Irvin of Indiana; sister, Vitea James (Bonnie) of Chicago, Illinois; nieces, Tameka Walsh and Tashana Walsh (Coly), whom he called a special niece; nephew, Ezell Jr. (Main); godson, Terrell Jordan; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, Tim Gibson, Stan Abbott, and John Walsh; his girlfriend, Elizabeth Dentis (Liz); a cousin whom he was very fond of, Dew of Joliet, Illinois; aunties, Earnestine Jordan of Chicago, Illinois, Virginia Pointer of South Carolina, Marylene Heard, and Paulene Kimball of Joliet, Illinois; and a host of cousins. Glenn Walsh will be truly missed by his family and friends. Holidays will never be the same. Your laughter is only an echo, keep them laughing in heaven until we meet again. Love, Vitea James (Coly) (Tim).
