Gwendolyn Crosby, “Lady Gwen,” was born in Chicago, IL on January 10, 1951, to the late Albert and Zenobia Moore, who preceded her in death. She was the third born of four children; two sisters preceded her in death, Ungentine and Felicia. She accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. Clarence Jones. She attended Bryant Elementary School then furthered her education at Farragut High School. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Billy Ray Crosby on August 11, 1969. To this union, three children were born; their son, Andre, preceded them in death. She has held several jobs. One which she loved was Home Health. Gwen was selfless women who exuded comfort and warmth toward everyone she encountered. In her free time, she loved to party, listen, play music as a DJ, and spend time with family and friends. Her caring spirit and loving smile will be deeply missed. Gwen departed this life on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. She leaves to cherish her fond memories: her daughter, Larmetris (Jeffrey) Jackson and Billy Moore, six grandchildren, brother, John Moore, mother-in-law, Catherine Crosby, two sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends whom she loved dearly.
