In God’s own time, He calls us home one by one. This time he
called Harry Deon McGowan.
Harry was the first born to Carrie McGowan and Harry
Darnell Harris on March 19, 1980, in Chicago, Illinois.
Harry had a personal relationship with the Lord at an early age.
He attended Barnes Elementary School in Chicago, Illinois. As a teenager, he later attended Harlan High School in Chicago, Illinois.
Harry was very hardworking, and he was a very spiritual man. He had an extremely outgoing spirit about himself. He was very protective of the women in his life especially his mom. Anyone that met Harry always spoke about how respectful and kind he was. He loved basketball and music, and he loved to dress well.
Harry loved his family and so adored his mother. He was truly the life of the party wherever he went. He had so many people that loved him and his memory and legacy will live forever.
He leaves to cherish his love and memory to Andreal Cofield, his fiancée. They had a very special bond that was unbreakable. There was never one without the other.
Harry departed this life and walked into eternity on July 30, 2023. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Martha and Clarence McGowan; aunt, Frankie; two uncles, Kalvin and Brian McGowan; and sister, Paulette Harris.
Harry leaves to cherish his memory: mom, Carrie (Willie); dad, Harry (Pauline); sisters, Darnesha, Sharnise, and Shavon; brothers, Michael and Darnell; children, Miracle McGowan and Deandre McGowan; and three grandchildren, Major, Mikale and Kyerielle; and two step-daughters Adrena and Dominique.
