Mr. Henry Brown, Jr., was born on July 21, 1954, in Hollandale, Mississippi to Henry and Emma Brown, both of whom preceded him in death. Henry, also known as “Westside Hank,” confessed his life to Christ at an early age. He later joined Lawndale Community Church Hope House Men’s Recovery Home. Henry attended Mason Elementary School and continued his education at Farragut High School. He later ventured forth into the United States Navy. Henry, “Westside Hank,” was a realist. He enjoyed and lived life to the fullest. Henry had many jobs, but he enjoyed working at the Gold Coast, where he was featured in the Chicago Sun Times for being the mascot for Gold Coast Hotdogs. ere was never a dull moment when Hank was around. He was loving, caring, and so helpful. He loved being around family. He loved all the kids, from his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He even served as a mentor for the Chicago Wolf Pack Basketball team. Henry was one-of-a-kind, handsome, cool, and funny. Henry departed this life on April 26, 2022. His memory will be engraved in the hearts of his loved ones forever. His presence will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia, sisters, Eliska and Idella, and a brother, Ernest. Henry leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Laurice Brown; four daughters, Angela, Cindy, Tammy, and Monique; ve sons, Douglas, Kalom Shabazz (Jamie), Aaron, Jonell, and Tylon; two sisters, Ora Lee (Ernest), and Joyce; brother, Roy; twenty-four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.
