Howard “Bucky” Chandler, Jr., was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 1, 1972, to his parents, Howard Chandler, Sr., who preceded him in death, and his loving mom, Verdell Chandler. Howard departed his life on August 7, 2021 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Howard graduated from Roosevelt High School, where his passion was basketball, which was a sport he excelled in. Howard’s basketball career led him to make the front page of the Chicago Sun Times. Howard’s love for his family was all he knew. His kids were always his prized possession. Howard was the father of seven children, whereas his firt born son, Quashi Akil Chandler, proceded him in death. Howard had an overwhelming love for his mom and brother. Everyone who came into contact with Bucky felt the love that he shared. Bucky was a loving, kindhearted, sweet, gentle giant who will be greatly missed. Howard leaves behind his mom, Verdell Chandler; brother, Sherrod; sister-in-lawm Jenerica; his children, Malik, Shani, Christy, Howard III, Latasia, and Quanshae. Howard also leaves behind a long-time companion, Tasia Payton; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, unclesm and friends.
