Arthur “Maine Maine” Anderson was born to Stone Anderson and Ruby Yow on December 27, 1955, in Birmingham, Alabama. At an early age, he expressed an interest in exploring his environment. Arthur was a hard worker and loved to spend time with his family and friends. Arthur attended Austin High School in Chicago, Illinois. During his adult life, he spent most of his time serving his community by working in the hospitality industry. Arthur had a heart of gold; anyone from his childhood or adult life could confirm. He was kind, generous, selfless, loyal, and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was compassionate and a great listener. Although he experienced many trials throughout his life, he still found a way to see the good in a challenging situation. Arthur departed this life on August 13, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, Stone Anderson; stepfather, Willie Halbert; brother, Ollie Dee Anderson; uncles, Carl Yow and Eugene Yow; and aunts, Ophelia Yow, Sara Yow, and Johnnie Mae Yow. Arthur will truly be missed by us all. He leaves lasting memories in the hearts of all those who loved and endured him over the past 69 years. He leaves to mourn: his daughters, Ariana Jackson and Nicole Anderson; mother, Ruby Halbert; sisters, Catherine McNeal, Donna Anderson, and Josephine Terrell; uncle, Preston Yow; aunt, Louise Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones, and friends
