James L. Carter was born into this life on July 17, 1999, in Chicago, Illinois, to the extremely proud parentage of Annette Johnson and James L. Carter, Sr. James joined Hopewell Baptist Church at a young age and was baptised by Reverend I. Phillips. James accepted God as his Lord and Savior. James attended Morton Elementary School and Orr High School and graduated from West Town High School in 2019. James’ first job was at the US post office as a mail sorter. James later became a forklift driver in 2019. James entered rest with the Lord on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at 1:13 p.m. He was preceded in death by: both great-grandmothers, Marcelene D. Dickens and Bessie Gant; one nephew, Eric Johnson, Jr.; one grandfather, Bill Windham; one little brother, Ladarius Wallace; and best friends/brothers, Earnest James and Anji Webster. James leaves to cherish: the love of his life, his beautiful daughter, Kaori Carter; his mother, Annette Johnson; father, James Carter of Chicago, Illinois; grandmothers, Hannah Johnson and Diane Windham; grandfathers, Mr. Winnfield Brown, Sr., James L. Carter, Sr.; two sisters, Laquesha L. Johnson and Jamea L. Carter; two brothers, William L. Bell and Eric Johnson; also his brothers, Jerryon Stevons, Jamon Ezell, Marcell Windham, and Antwon Williams; five nephews, Amiere (9), William (6), Aymiere (3), Elijah (1), and Prince (6 months); two nieces, Willow (7) and Lyric (6); a special young lady, Kamiesha King; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other family, and friends, who all loved him dearly.
