Obituary

Jarid Lavell Jefferson Lindsey was born from Chistena Jefferson Lindsey April 4th, 2001 at Bethany Hospital in Chicago IL. Jarid accepted Christ as his lord and savior at an early age. He re-committed his yes to God when he joined All Nations Worship Assembly in May of 2017. Jarid attended Walt Disney Magnet School in Chicago Illinois. After graduating from 8th grade he attended Nicholas Senn H.S in Chicago IL. Jarid transferred from Senn H.S to Lincoln Challenge Academy Military in Springfield IL. From there he received his GED and hard plans to attend Eastern Illinois University. Jarid passion was Basketball and like just about every other young boy dream, he wanted to someday play basketball in the NBA. He loved basketball so much that he would make a basketball hoop out of anything including the garbage. Since the age of 6, Jarid would attend McCormick Boys and Girls club. It was there where he learned how to give back to the community by helping the children. Jarid personality and smile would light up a room and bring joy to everyone. If he didn’t know how to do anything else, he knew how to make fun. He enjoyed hanging with friends and family. He especially enjoyed doing pranks on his siblings. Jarid would find humor in everything especially watching his mom dress up as a clown to entertain children parties as well as watching her dress up as Santa Clause. He would say “So black women can turn into fat white men huh?” But as much he he enjoyed his mom providing the entertainment, he would be her assistant and help create joy. Jarid will truly be missed by everyone’s life he touched. Jarid departed flesh on Wednesday July 21st, 2021 at 6:25pm. Jarid was preceded in death by Derotha Jefferson, his grandmother.
