In the sunrise of February 23, 1955, an Amethyst gem was born to Napoleon and Mae Ida Walker in Chicago, Illinois. Both parents preceded her in her homegoing. ]^ _`a bcdefghi of this beautiful life she attended Bryant grade school, Mason Upper Grade Center. Jeanette Walker also attended Lucy Flower H.S. where she curated her unbeatable skills in playing cards, which she enjoyed so much. She later continued her education at Cam Academy. In 1974 Jeanette was joined in Holy Matrimony to her children’s father. They later divorced and she married Andre Johnson. At an early age she accepted the Lord as her personal savior where she attended Sunrise M.B. Church under the leadership of the late, Pastor A.T. Tilly. In the late 80’s she became a member of Holy Garden of Prayer church, where she was baptized by the founder and late Pastor, Jeffrey Edmonds, Sr. She continued to serve under Bishop Jeffro Williams, Sr. in various capacities, always stepping in wherever needed. particularly within the kitchen ministry. Throughout her lifetime Jeanette held various positions. Ultimately, she held positions in areas doing what she loves to do best, helping people. In her early years Jeanette worked as a Sales Representative in a department store. This was right up her alley because of her love for fashion and people. She later moved into a role where she could be more intimately involved with people. Jeanette pursue her career in the medical field as a certified nursing assistant at the Hamilin House. The closing of the facility lead Jeanette to find employment at MPC. Although, not an area of directly assisting people, Jeanette founded a new love. She was very proud of her position of making the black boxes that the Department of Defense used for bombing during combat. Eventually, Jeanette took and early retirement from MPC. This transition allowed her to pursue her entrepreneurial dreams, leading to establishing her first business “Home Away from Home Daycare.” Jeanette cared for and nurtured so many families in many ways. Health Scares played a significant role in the closing of “Home Away from Home.” Jeanette later gained employment at Peeples Tacos where she received the name “lil bit.” People’s is where a lot of people encountered the bright smiling face and witty personality. Jeanette embodied the essence of caring, selflessness, love, encouragement, humor and being outspoken and a fighter. Even in the face of heart failure, breast cancer and respiratory distress she maintained a strong spirit and fought valiantly through her challenges with a heart full of faith. Despite the struggles she remained a beacon of positivity and strength, inspiring those around her with her resilience and vibrant personality. jk lmn opqrstuv she answered to the voice of the Lord on December 24, 2024, at 4:12am. Jeanette leaves to live her legacy four loving children Ronial Walker (Lisa), Ronea Walker, Shonte Walker and Danyeal Walker. Twenty-three grandchildren and eighteen greatgrandchildren, two beautiful sisters Vanessa and Val with two that preceded her in her homegoing (Mary Lynn and Renee), fiveloving brothers Joseph, Roy, Alyna, Roscoe, and Bernard with one that preceded her in her homegoing (Napoleon, Jr.) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
