Jerry Jackson Obituary

JERRY MALONE JACKSON was born to the union of Mims G Jackson (otherwise known as MG) and Jeanine Lee Dorsey Jackson in Elaine Arkansas on December 21, 1953. He was educated in the Chicago Public School system and graduated from John Marshall High school.
Jerry enjoyed drawing and after high school he also taken classes for it. Later, he worked for Ferguson Ford, Pacific Union railroad, where he met Adilene Robinson in January 1979 and they were married in July 1980. They both later worked for Bell & Howell, and later to that union 1 child was born Jerry Mims Jackson. He had a daughter Yanae Jackson (Nana) his first born. Thomas and Adonus (stepsons).
Jerry later enlisted in the US Army and his family later joined him at Fort Lewis Washington where he was stationed. He was enlisted for 6 years and had a tour of Duty overseas in Korea. Afterwards he returned home to Chicago. Jerry and joy taking pictures, good music, and he could even be the life of the party!! Jerry was a member of 1st Baptist Institutional church, Chicago, IL, under the leadership of Rev. Aaron Brasfield, Pastor. He recommitted under watch care later while stationed while stationed in Fort Lewis, his life to Christ at the New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ where TL Westbrook was Pastor, and state Bishop.
After returning home Jerry worked for the VA, the Jesse Brown VA in Chicago and later the Hines VA in Maywood Illinois. He worked there until his illness caused him to retire. Jerry transitioned this life on earth for eternal life in glory on May 8th at 2:25 p.m.
Jerry was preceded in death by: mom and dad, Jeanine and Mims G. Jackson; sister, Patricia Miller; daughter, Yunnae Antrice Jackson.
He leaves to mourn: son, Jerry Mims Jackson(Stefanie); brother, James Jackson; stepsons, Thomas J. Robinson(Felicia), Adonus J Griffith(Debra), Adilene R. Hampton; Aunts, Vera Boyd and Flotilla Dorsey; uncle, Percy Dorsey (Leah); Grandchildren, Dashanae Miracle Draper Jackson, Imani Antrice Draper Jackson, Emanuel Justice Draper Jackson, Quinton Xavier Jackson and a host of cousins, family and friends.
