Jim Maurice Carter

A Tribute to a Loving Father, Grandpa & Great-Grandpa Jim Maurice Carter was born January 27, 1958, to Juanita Carter and James Dace. He was preceded in death by parents; sisters, Ina Tyson and Renee Hines; brother, Robert Hollins; nephew, Richard Pack; and aunt, Shirley Cross. Jimmy attended Manley High School. He was employed by Chicago Northwestern Railroad, where he later retired. On December 20, 2021, God called our loving Jimmy home. He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Gennie; daughters, Vanetris Carter, Juana Carter Robinson (Charles), Jimmie (Carter), Jerlinna Carter, and Jarona Ellis; sons, Marquis Sta ord, Cornell Brown, and Edward Sherden; sister, Charnice Dace; brothers, Ira Hines, Charles Dace, Jr. (Taachia), and Edward Dace; nine grandchildren, Jo’uana, Chantay, Raquel, NaTasha, Rasha, Jimmy, David, Ty’Shawn, and D’Ontay; nine great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; aunts, Emma Cotton (Roy), Patricia Adams (Robert), Helen King (Patrick), Geraldine (Sam), and Louise; uncles, Alvin (Carter), Percy E. Fields (Brenda), and Paul Dace (Paula); and a host of friends.
