Jimmy Willingham Obituary

Jimmy Willingham was born July 24, 1978, in Chicago, Illinois, to Ruby Willingham and Jimmie Scooter. Jimmy was raised on the west side of Chicago and attended Collins High School. Jimmy was a barber, a great dancer, an actor, and an entrepreneur. He starred in the films Hands Up (2021) and Cameron (2022), where he showcased his passion and talent. He also created his own clothing brand, B.A.B.Y (Be A Better You), which reflected his belief in self improvement, growth, and positivity. Jimmy was a very loving, optimistic, and outgoing person. He believed in spreading positivity and making a difference in the lives of those around him. His energy was infectious, and he had a special gift for motivating and uplifting people. As a motivational speaker, he used his voice to speak life into others, encouraging them to chase their dreams and be their best selves. Jimmy had a strong faith in God and carried that belief with him throughout his life. He always spoke about trusting in God’s plan, staying faithful through hard times, and keeping a grateful heart. His spiritual strength gave him peace and allowed him to pour into others with love and wisdom. Dancing was Jimmy’s passion. He lived and breathed music, taking inspiration from his idols, Usher and Chris Brown. Whether performing or simply vibing with friends and family, Jimmy’s moves were effortless, and his love for dance was undeniable. He loved having fun with his family, bringing people together through laughter, music, and good times. Jimmy was also a natural comedian. He had a way of making people laugh no matter the situation. His jokes, facial expressions, and quick wit could turn any bad day into a good one. Whether he was cracking jokes in the barbershop, entertaining family gatherings, or just being his authentic, hilarious self, Jimmy brought joy wherever he went. His legacy of love, positivity, passion for life, and dedication to uplifting others will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Marquis Willingham. Jimmy leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Takeriah Willingham; grandson, Elijah "Grandman" Watts; his loving parents, Ruby Willingham and Jimmie Scooter; sister, Adrena Willingham; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
