Kathryn Goodloe Obituary

Kathryn Goodloe was born on April 24, 1932, in Canton, Mississippi, to the late Leland Ward and Mary L. Tate. She attended Cameron Street School in Canton, Mississippi. She accepted Christ at an early age as a member of St. Paul AME Zion Church in Canton, Mississippi. After moving to Chicago, Illinois, Kathryn was united in holy matrimony to Willie Goodloe on November 24, 1952. Kathryn worked for many years at Curtiss Candy Company in Chicago, Illinois. Kathryn will be remembered for her fun-loving, sharp-witted character and was always willing to help others. On Saturday, November 23, 2024, Kathryn transitioned from this life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland Ward and Mary L. Tate; husband, Willie Goodloe; two brothers, Floyd Tate (Bobbie) and Charles Tate; and two sisters, Mildred Boyd and Francis Ward. Kathryn leaves to cherish her memories: her two sisters, Katie Davis of Chicago, Illinois, and Helen Ward of Canton, Mississippi; one brother, Fred Tate of Canton, Mississippi; two sisters-in-law, Hystine Grant and Inetta Goodloe of Chicago, Illinois; two brothers-in-law, Herman Goodloe of Hillside, Illinois, and Eddie Chambers of Chicago, Illinois; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
