Kierre Lamont Sullivan a.k.a. “Keke”, as he was
affectionately known by his family, was a Gentle Giant who left
us far too soon. Kierre was born August 18, 1987, and suddenly
passed away on August 23, 2022, at the age of 35.
Kierre had an infectious smile and not only was he the type of
person that lit up the room with his personality, but he always
had jokes that kept us laughing. Kierre was a giver and would
do anything for those he loved. He was a listening ear, he was a
bear hug when you needed one, and was always optimistic and
encouraging, no matter the circumstance.
As a lover of life and Christ, Kierre had many passions, including
poetry, music, sports, and dancing. He was an excellent dancer
and to be a big guy was so light on his feet. This also made him
an excellent football player. He was able to live out his passion
for football by playing many positions, including receiver and
defensive tackle/end for the semi-pro Chicago Falcons (#44) from
2009-2019. He had to leave the Falcons for a short time due to his
health, but came back in 2016, not only to win a championship,
but was named Comeback Player of the Year. He never gave up on
what he loved.
Kierre’s education included many schools in the Chicagoland area
including John Hay Elementary, Michelle Clark Middle School,
and Moses Vine (Orr) Highschool. He also studied Business at
Western University in Macomb, Illinois. Kierre spent many years
of his career working in the areas of finance and accounting.
Kierre moved to Mesa, Arizona, in March to pursue better weather
and a new job opportunity. Another dream fulfilled!
Kierre was preceded in death by his father, Willie Williams; greatgrandparents, Bernice and Linton Rembert; and uncles, Reginald,
Bernard, Andre, and Cantrell.
As the second eldest of eight children, he leaves to cherish his
memory: his mother, Sonji Hill; brothers, Antoine, Jeremy,
Jamal, Javonte, and DeJuan; sisters, Tierra and Akayla; stepbrother, Justin; step-sister, Akeena; grandmother, Ella Cephus;
aunt, Regina Cephus; special niece, Nakiya; goddaughter, Kam;
and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great-aunts and uncles,
godmothers, and friends. Kierre also loved his extended family
from Mesa, Arizona, Ruthi and Antoine Robinson.
