Larry Christian Obituary

LARRY DONELL CHRISTIAN was thechild born to Celestine and James Christian,Sr. on May 18, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois. His wife Renee, both his mother and his father, one sister and one brother proceeded him in death. Larry attended John Marshall High School from 1969 -1973. In his high school years, he developed sharp mathematical skills. Larry was on the Baseball team and in the  eater club. It was here he met his high school sweetheart and future wife, Renee White. On August 23rd, 1980, Larry and Renee were united in holy matrimony. From this union, they welcomed two children, Sherrell and Larry Aaron.  e two of them shared 42 years of life together.  ey went on various trips together on Carnival cruises, State fairs and their favorite, the Cincinnati Music Festival. Larry was a diehard fan of sports but especially a lifelong fan of all the Chicago teams. Larry could recall every detail about his favorite teams with ease and passion. Larry’s mother would poke fun at him and his siblings about how they would be crying once the Bears loss, and they did. Larry worked for National Malleable & Steel Casting where he created lifelong friendships during his time employed there until the closure of the factory in 2000. Later, Larry transitioned into a position as a security guard with Digby Detective and Security Agency at both O’Hare and Midway Airport. Larry was a caring and giving person and helpful to all the people he came in contact with. His tremendous personality could light up any room and you were instantly a lifelong friend. On Sunday morning, January 12th, 2025 Larry passed away peacefully. Larry leaves to cherish his memory a daughter Sherrell, a son Larry Aaron(Brittany) and his three grandchildren Elijah, Lyric and Taylor. Larry is also survived by his brothers James Jr (Ira Doris), Andre, SistersLillie Augusta, Carolyn, Carmonella Harmon, Sinceray, Apasra Marie, Uncles John Christian, Charles and MacAuthur Winfrey, Sister-in-law Regina White and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends who will miss him dearly.
