Ledora was born April 20, 1952, the youngest of six children, to Floyd and Harriett. She departed this life on Thursday, June 13, 2024, in her home at 6:25 AM. She confessed hope in Christ in early childhood and was baptized in the Baptist faith. Ledora joined Christ United Methodist Church in 2002 and served diligently in the church’s fundraising activities and especially loved volunteering at the church flea market. Ledora was educated in the Chicago Public School system. She was united in holy matrimony to Carl Williams in 1980 and together they were parents to two children, Shondrea and Carl. Ledora chose to work in the field of culinary arts and worked for Marriott for a few years. She was also community minded and later became an advocate for developmentally challenged children. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Harriett; daughter, Shondrea; and four siblings. She leaves to celebrate her life: one son, Carl; eleven grandchildren, Kaneice, Brian “BJ”, Arianna, Jadarrah, Meosha, Marcus, Marquis, Quishon, Mordecai, Brooklyn and Ja’Dora; six great-grandchildren, Jamear, Bri’niylah, Ka’Mya, Bles’syn, Zyaire, and JaZaivier; one sister, Luverta Barnes; one brother, Robert McDonald; and a very special friend, Robert Wiliamson.
