Linda Marie Woods was born to the union of the late Elder James Lee Woods, Sr., and Willie Rosine Duncan Woods, who both preceded her in death. Linda was the twelfth child of 17 children. Her siblings, Ronald Woods, Clara Smith, Donald Woods, Rosetta Jackson, Ruth Griffith, Mary Lowrey, Marvin Woods, Michael Woods, James Woods Jr., Mark Woods, and Beverly Towner, all preceded her in death. Linda graduated from Burns Elementary School. She attended Farragut Career Academy High School, where she met many of her lifelong friends. Linda enjoyed doing hair, cooking, and partying at the Cotton Club. Linda had several jobs such as: Larry’s restaurant, Suburban job link, and most recent Avon. Linda was known for her resilience and being very comforting to those around her. She was the woman you can sit and talk to about anything. Linda accepted Christ at an early age as it was instilled in her by her parents, especially her father, who spent his life as a pastor. Linda took passion in instilling certain life lessons in her children. She enjoyed being a grandmother and everyone knew “Granny’s house was the place to be.” On February 18, 2025, God called his beautiful angel, Linda, home to rest and watch over her family by his side.
