Louis Tolliver was the ninth born out of sixteen children. He was born to Kirk and Lilly Tolliver on March 17, 1932, in Percy, Mississippi. At an early age, he moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where he met and married his wife, Rosie Mae Tolliver. They were married for seventy years. To this union, six children were born, two of whom preceded him in death. In 1952, Louis moved to Chicago to provide a better life for him and his family. Louis became an entrepreneur and opened up his business, “Louis Auto.” Louis not only provided for his family, he also provided for the community. He leaves to cherish his memory: his three daughters, Gloria (James), Kathy (Sam), and Madaline (Donald); three sons, Marvin (Charlene), Jerome (Deena), and Fredrick (Diana); one Ross; and Precious Memories brother, Sylvester; one sister, Mattie; one sister-in-law, Claireen grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and Final Vi ing sixteen great-great-grandchildren.
