Luther O’Neal Martin was born April 6, 1960 to the proud parents of the Late Luther Edward Martin and Lillian Louise Clemet in Cherokee, Alabama. Luther confessed faith in Christ at an early age. However, in later years, he joined the Nation of Islam. Luther attended and graduated from Southwestern High School in Flint, MI. Upon completing high school Luther enlisted in the United States Army where he later was honorably discharged. After returning from the U.S. Army Luther obtained a job working as a security guard for Legion Security Company where he worked for many years. On July 12, 2019 Luther became one with the love of his life Kay Pearson. Kay was the apple of Luther’s eye of whom he loved dearly. Luther was an awesome guy, he loved to have a great time laughing and joking with his family and friends. Luther departed this life on April 27, 2023 surrounded by his family and friends. Luther was preceded in death by his parents & a sister Alison Martin. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Kay Pearson-Martin; Daughters Margaret, Amy White, and Angel Ajani; One Grandson Chad Hillard; Siblings Phyllis Robinson, Kayle Martin, and Sonia Martin; Nieces and Nephews, Nehemiah Parker, Brittany Clark, Tony Martin, Shaneeque Stacks, Kalatta Martin, and Terrika Stacks. Luther also inherited a host of other stepsisters & stepbrothers, and nieces & nephews, and a host of other cousins and friends
