MARLINE RUTH NICKELSON was born August 7, 1964, to the union of Marline and Marshall Nickelson in South Haven, Michigan Marline, Jr., received her formal education at Covert High School in Covert, Michigan. She furthered her education at a Cosmetology school in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Marline was also a homeowner and property investor, which allowed her to pursue her passion of taking care of others. She received her certification as a personal care worker in Milwaukee, Wisconson. She was employed as a personal care worker at JW Stalwart Adult Family Home, where she provided care to the elderly and disabled population within the community. Marline accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very early age. Marline was a loving mother of five children, whom she loved and adored. Marline spent her leisure time connecting with her family and friends. She loved trying out different hairstyles, shopping for clothes and accessories, and most of all, being a “Glam Mother” to her grandchildren. Marline departed this life on Saturday, June 10, 2023. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Nickelson; father, Marshall Nickelson, Sr.; son, Timothy Robert Nickelson; brother, Marshall Nickelson, Jr.; grandmother, Melvina Marsh; and grandfather, Andrew Warren, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Marline Nickelson; uncle, Andrew Warren; children, Lisa Ann Varnesdeel (James), Gary Mark Smith, Antoinette Sonia Nicholson, and Eureka Polk; grandchildren, John, James, Javon, Timothy, Timya, Sonai, Zia, Zaria, and Antonio; siblings, Michael, Meshell, Robert, Robin, James, Jalong, Sylvester, Saddie, and Stacey; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
