MICHELLE RENEE’ HENTON was born on October 29, 1980, and departed from this world on March 12, 2025. Michelle was the youngest child of Sandra and Ernest Henton. Ernest preceeded Michelle in death in 2010. Michelle attended St. Catherine Grammar School and Trinity High School, where she was Senior Class President. She then went on to complete cosmetology school at Pivot Point Academy. In 2002, Michelle survived a life altering car accident, but she never let that limit her goals. She would redirect her career and begin attending Malcolm X College. Michelle would not only complete her Associates degree there, but she would also graduate as a member of the honor society, Phi Theta Kappa. Michelle would complete both her Bachelors and Masters degrees at Roosevelt University. Michelle gave her life to Christ at the age of eight when she became a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She served her church community as a member of the junior usher board. Michelle met Alicia Riley in 2010 at Schwab Medical Rehab Facility. T he two became life partners, with Alicia affectionately referring to Michelle as her wife. Michelle was our “magic baby.” Despite being the youngest, she bossed us all around, and we were more than happy to do her bidding. Michelle loved music, traveling, and gathering with family and friends. She could often be found in the center of everything, being the life of the party. Michelle leaves to cherish: her wife of 15 years, Alicia Riley; mother, Sandra Henton (Ernest); aunts, Barbara Yousef, Doris Frasier (Pete), and Kathy Henton; brother, Ernest B. Henton II (Simone); sister, Desiree’ L. Young (David); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. T he family would also like to acknowledge Michelle’s chosen sisters, Lauren Valentine and Valisa Enis, who preceeded her in death, as well as her best friends, Antoinette Lanking and Natasha Smith.
