Minnie J. Jackson was born in Lepanto, Arkansas, on
October 7, 1938, to the union of Willie and Mary Robinson. In 1966, Mom and Dad
moved the family from Arkansas to Illinois. On Monday, December 25, 2023, Minnie
peacefully departed this life at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove,
Illinois, surrounded by her children, family, and pastor at her bedside.

At an early age, Minnie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Minnie loved
the Lord and was a faithful member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, where she
served as a Sunday school teacher, member of the adult choir, and President of the
Mother’s Board. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend.

She received her education in Arkansas at Spearlake Elementary in Lepanto, Arkansas,
and George Washington Carver High School in Marked Tree, Arkansas. In 2005,
Minnie retired from MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois, after being a dedicated
employee for 30 years. After retirement, taking care of grandchildren, getting them to
and from school and activities, kept her busy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Mary Robinson; one brother;
four sisters; two sons, Robert and Willie; and one grandson, Nigel.

She leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Frances Colley (James) of
Bolingbrook, IL, Sharon Hayes of Crest Hill, IL, and Yolanda McDonald (Robert) of
Summit, IL; one son, Frederick Jackson of Joliet, IL; one sister, Lorean Robinson of
Joliet, IL; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two nieces; five nephews;
and a host of other relatives and special friends.
