Freda Camilla Bowdery was born on October 2, 1952, to Ruby Mae Cole and Forrest Bowdery in Jackson, Tennessee. She departed this life on June 4, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Jackson Central Merry High School with the class of 1973. Freda was united in marriage to Morgan Jerald Johnson on May 6, 1978, in Chicago, Illinois, and to this union, four children were born, Reginald, Serena, Morgan Jr., and Ti any. To many, Freda was known as the life of the party. To know Freda was to love her. She was a woman with many names and titles: mom, sister, daughter, aunt, protector, and friend, just to name a few. She loved a big celebration; “the more the merrier” was her motto. She enjoyed cooking and feeding the masses; to know Freda was to know food and a good time. She always had wise words of wisdom to share. A trying moment in Freda’s life was the spring of 1996 when she had a stroke. But with God’s mercy, she was able to work her way through it and continue to enjoy life where she would laugh and joke as only she could. On June 3, 2024, she spent her last evening on Earth laughing and joking with her grandchildren. e next morning, Jesus called Freda by name and led her to eternity. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Mae Bowdery Cole; and father, Forrest Bowdery. Freda memory will be cherished by her husband, Morgan; two daughters, Serena (Javarie) and Ti any (Norman); two sons, Reginald and Morgan Jr; she also leaves ve sisters, Forrest Anne, Sandra, Annetta, Anita, and irry; three brothers, Eugene, Spencer, and Kelvin; nineteen grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Tavoria, Mariona, Dymond, Catera, Aliyah, Amari, Shalise, Xavier, Reginald Jr., Carisma, Jaylen, Cedmyria, Nahria, Jakarie, Javarie, Kandrick, Jakiya, Morgan, and Saadia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives
