PERRY WILLIAMS, SR., was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on October 29, 1950, to his parents, His mother Mattie Bell Williams and George Cross, Sr. He was their pride and joy. He also enjoyed his second mother Mary Cross who also had a hand in raising him. They all have preceded him in death. Perry Williams, Sr., excepted Christ at an early age. Perry Williams, Sr., joined the United StatesArmy in 1970 to serve and protect his country. Perry Williams, Sr., later on in life in 1970 meet Betty Stevenson and his first king was born Perry Stevenson, Jr. Perry Williams, Sr., was a hard worker he worked variety of warehouse jobs from book shop binder, to casting companies, and security jobs. He also worked at Joslyn Supply Company; he worked there until his health declined him Perry Williams, Sr., meet Valerie Dickerson and married in 1977 at City Hall his first queen was born, Felicia Cross. They later divorced in 1984. Perry Williams, Sr., was always good with his hands and had many great hobbies and talents. He loved boxing, karate, and body building. He was really great at these things, that’s where he shined the most. Most importantly, when he wasn’t doing those things he love eating his sweets from Snickers bar candies, to German chocolate cake, to pound cake he enjoyed calling his family and friends asking for sweets. Perry Williams, Sr., gained his wings on March 6, 2026 at 7:30 pm surrounded by family. Perry Williams, Sr., leaves a great legacy behind his son, Perry Stevenson, Jr.; daughter-in-love, Kyris Nikki Stevenson Nash; daughter, Felicia Cross; beatiful siblings of Chicago, Illinois, Frank Cross (Jacquelyn) and Edmund Cross (Sheryl); beautiful siblings of Alabama, Henry C Goode “Centreville Al., Henry J Goode Jr. Helen A Conwell (Brent Al), and Larry Goode-Centerville Al. His siblings have preceded him in death, brother, George Cross, Jr., and Annie L. Goode, Lenora Cross, and Evelyn Cross; grandchildren, Andrea Carter of Memphis, Tennessee, Devante Stevenson of Chicago, Illinois, Trivon Stevenson of Chicago, Illinois, Bryce Hudson of Chicago, Illinois, Barack Hudson of Chicago, Illinois, Jelicia Cross of Springfield, Illinois, Zyaire Cross of Springfield, Illinois; great grandchildren, Tamira Cannon of Memphis, Tennessee, Kynston Edwards, Memphis, Tennessee, Anaija Ricketts of Memphis, Tennessee, Mekhi Stevenson of Chicago, Illinois; and he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and, friends.
